# Cross-chain

## What does "cross-chain" mean?

Cross-chain technology allows your opLend tokens to exist and move across multiple blockchain networks. This means you're not limited to a single network, your investment can follow you wherever you go.

## LayerZero Integration

Lend uses **LayerZero V2**, a leading omnichain messaging protocol, to enable seamless token transfers between supported networks.

### How It Works

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Initiate Transfer

Select the destination network and amount.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Token Burn

Your tokens are burned on the source chain.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Message Sent

LayerZero securely relays the transfer details.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Token Mint

Equivalent tokens are minted on the destination chain.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### How to bridge?

You can decide to bridge on two different occasions:

**1°) During Primary Market sales**

When minting an opLend token on the primary market (= buying the token when an asset is introduced), you can decide which blockchain you'll receive your tokens on. The minting process involves a Layer Zero bridge, allowing you to buy and bridge in a single transaction.\
\
**2°) Using the bridge**

On the [Lend App](https://app.lend.xyz/), you can log in and bridge by clicking on the "Bridge" shortcut on the user menu. You'll be able to select a blockchain and bridge in a few minutes.\

### Supported Networks

Each opLend have it's own set of supported networks. At launch, we'll support the following networks:

* Ethereum=
* Base
* Arbitrum
* Polyogn
* Sonic
* BSC
* Plume network
